I wasn't sure what to expect as I headed down to the Summit on Friday the 31st of July, I was excited and very nervous at the same time. I arrived and checked into the Twin Towns, preparing myself for the stay. What will I learn? Will I take anything away?
 

Little did I know, I was about to have the most amazing, inspirational three days of my life!
 

I met such wonderful fellow newborn and baby photographers, as well as photographers who came along just to see if this was their calling. I met some of my idols in the newborn photography world, Kelly Brown, Luisa Dunn, Rachel Vanoven, and Erin Hoskins just to name a few. Sue Bryce was a speaker, freaking Sue Bryce! I was in absolute awe! 
 

The first day I was so excited to attend a workshop, I had never participated in anything like it before. My mind was blown. Every single class and motivational talk from then was amazing, mind blown again and again! I took notes, in fact I filled my whole baby summit note book wanting to ensure that every bit of crucial information being shared was going to be retained!
 

Every workshop was amazing to watch, I got to watch my favourites at work, wrapping, posing, settling. It was amazing. Each demo was just as amazing as the next, I seriously couldn't get enough! I wanted it to last the whole week!
 

I learnt so much to benefit my little business. What to do, how to cover myself to look after my business and how to thrive! We learnt about pricing - charge what you are worth! This meant so much to me as pricing has always been a struggle, insurance - am I covered?, contracts - the ins and outs and crucial information required - my contracts need a revamp for sure!, blogging, websites, customer service and to get out of my own way! All of this was so important to me.
 

Then there were the vendors! People who I had worked with, props I had purchased and shared. I finally got to meet these amazing people who work so hard to provide a fabulous service to newborn photographers. I was over stimulated in the "vendor room" as I called it and spent way over my budget, as  there was so much choice! They were all willing to lend a hand, and have a chat. They were so giving, and the daily prizes were just amazing.
 

A HUGE thanks to Canon as I walked away with an amazing 100mm Macro lens, I couldn't believe that my summit trip was being topped off by winning a lens, and such a beautiful lens at that!
 

I cannot thank Kelly, Rob and Garrett enough for creating this amazing opportunity for newborn photographers. I have a long way to go, but I feel that I can take on the world! Your inspiration, support and guidance means so much to everyone. Thank-you.
 

I will be attending next year for sure, and cannot wait! I will see you all there.... bring on 2016!!!
